I have been notified by the Hawaii Department of Health that we had 2 students who have tested positive for Covid-19. The teachers of the affected classes have or are in contact with the parents. I have also sent out separate email for the affected classes.
If you DID NOT receive a call from your child’s teacher or DID NOT receive a specific SchoolMessage from me about your child’s homeroom, your child is not considered a close contact.
Also, Kualapuu will remain open at this time. If there are further developments, you will be notified.
Our school have implemented the recommended Covid mitigation of staying home when sick, distancing, washing hands, and wearing masks. We also keep our students in their homeroom pods.
Also, Molokai General will have Free Mass Covid Testing on Tuesday, August 10th, 2pm – 6pm.
In the meantime, let’s stay home this weekend. Monitor your child’s health. Contact your health care provider, if necessary, especially if your child is showing symptoms.
