Aloha Kualapuu Families!
An amazing opportunity has been offered to Kualapuu students through the Japan-America Society of Hawaii’s international cultural exchange program: the Asian-Pacific Children’s Convention in Summer 2019, Fukuoka, Japan. They have widened the age range of the program. Instead of September 1, 2007 to August 31, 2008, any student from Hawaii born between August 1, 2007 and August 31, 2008 (10-11 years old) are eligible to apply.
In a competitive selection process, JASH will select six students (three boys and three girls) as Junior Ambassadors (JAs). The JAs will join over 200 students from 40 different Asian Pacific countries and regions in Fukuoka, experience living with a Japanese host family, and participate in the APCC global youth camp.
If you have the time, please watch their 1-minute introductory video to the program here.
The application and information about the 31st Annual APCC program can be found online at http://jashawaii.org/education. The application must be received by JASH or postmarked no later than Friday, December 28, 2018.
