Kualapuu School–Important Covid Update
Aloha Kualapuu Staff and Families — I have been notified by the Hawaii Department of Health this morning that 3 additional students at Kualapuu school have been identified as “close contacts” to a positive covid case outside of school. This brings the total of 5 students who are identified as “close contacts.” So far, NO students at Kualapuu school have been identified as being positive for Covid-19.
I have notified the teachers of these students and those teachers will be reaching out to the families of those students in classes.
School will continue to remain open as we have maintained our safety measures of hand washing, distancing, face coverings, and staying home if a person is showing symptoms. Per DOH guidance, closing the school is not necessary.
Let us all keep vigilant and pray for the recovery and health of our friends, families, and community. If there are further updates or any other information, you will be notified. Also, please monitor your children for symptoms.
Also, Molokai General Hospital will be offering free Covid testing on Tuesday, May 18th, 10-6pm. Please see the flyer for additional information.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Principal Lydia Trinidad at [email protected].
