Aloha 6th Grade Families — I know you have been waiting for information about our 6th Grade promotion ceremony.  The 6th grade teachers and staff have planned out some of the important details.  Here it is!    Kualapuu drive through promotion ceremony:

If you want to distribute gift items to other graduates, please drop off items at the cafeteria on Tuesday, June 2nd, 9-12 noon.

  • When:  Wednesday, June 3rd, 10-12 noon (Drive only 1 car per graduate, or you can put as many graduates in 1 car.) (Note: You can have your family members in the car also.)

  • Drive Through Route:  Enter through the G-wing gate (by the trash bins), only cars with graduates will be able to enter the parking lot.  Cars may start to line up by 9:30am.  Line up in any order.

  • When called, graduates will step out of their car, greet their homeroom teacher, approach a table to pick up their lei and certificate and go back to the car.  The car will then drive forward to the cafe, and a goodie bag, makana for the graduate will be delivered to the car.

  • Cars will then move forward and the school will have a to go shoyu chicken lunch for the graduate’s household.  Please fill out the form here for a count of lunch meals.

    • Please give us a meal count for your 6th grade household family only–>   https://tinyurl.com/6thGrdLunch (Please copy and past link in your browser if needed.)

  • Exit from the cafe down the ramp to leave school.

  • Family clusters or observers may line the driveway or parking lot, provided individuals and families are properly spaced 6th feet apart, wear masks.  No chairs will be provided by the school.  Pictures may be taken by the statue.

  • There will be NO parking available in the parking in front of the school or by G-wing.  Parking is available on on the street.

There are 48 graduates so please be patient as we do this first time event.  The key is to keep flexible, safe, and let the 6th graders have a memorable promotion.  6th Graders can wear Aloha wear.  Special Note:  Students must pay any obligations, like lost library books to participate.  Please contact Mrs. Martinez, Librarian, if you have any questions at [email protected].hi.us.

Thank you again for your patience.
