Principal Lydia Trinidad

Aloha Kualapuʻu ʻOhana,

It is with deep gratitude and excitement that I step into the role of Principal of Kualapuʻu School. For the past 12 years, I have been honored to serve our school as a teacher, curriculum coordinator, and vice principal. Now, I look forward to continuing this journey with you in a new capacity — one that carries both great responsibility and tremendous joy.

As someone born and raised on Molokaʻi, I know firsthand the value of our culture, language, and traditions. I am committed to fostering a school environment where our keiki feel rooted in their identity, yet confident in navigating a broader world. Together, we will nurture curiosity, encourage excellence, and inspire our students to become compassionate, capable, and proud contributors to our community and beyond.

I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me, and I look forward to working alongside our talented staff, dedicated families, and supportive community partners. With your collaboration, we can ensure that every child who walks through our doors leaves not only with knowledge, but with a strong sense of who they are and what they can achieve.

Me ke aloha,
Kaʻala Fay Camara
Principal, Kualapuʻu School
